PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1st Assistant Golf Professional                                                                              April 2018 – Present

Essex Fells Country Club, Essex Fells, New Jersey


Established in 1896, Essex Fells Country Club is an historic, private and family oriented club offering a wide range of sporting and social activities. In the 1920’s, renowned golf course architect, Seth Raynor was hired to design a major renovation of the golf course which members enjoy today. In the 1930’s, a golfing custom was born on the first tee at Essex Fells, the “Mulligan.”


Customer Relations

  • Ensure all members and guests feel welcome by being approachable, knowledgeable and courteous

  • Assist Head Golf Professional in creating new practices designed to improve overall customer service endeavors

Tournament Administration

  • Organize Men’s, Women’s (9 & 18 Hole Assoc.), Senior, Mixed, Junior and Outside Events: 150+ Events per Season

  • Enhance all Tournament Registration, Formats, Scorecards, Rules Sheets, Cart Signage and Staff Objectives

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point

  • Proficient in Event Man, Golf Genius and TPP Tournament Software

Teaching

  • Perform individual lessons, clinics, and junior programs

  • Instruct Students: Men, Women, Seniors, Juniors and Persons with Physical Limitations

  • Proficient in V1 and JC Video Analysis Software, as well as Foresight, Flightscope and Trackman Launch Monitors

Player Development

  • Manage Junior Golf Programs: PGA Junior League, Summer Junior Golf Program, Junior Golf & Tennis Academy, Junior Tour Academy, and Fall Junior Golf Program

  • Manage Clinics for 18 Hole Women’s Association, 9 Hole Women’s Association and introduced a No Hole Women’s Clinic designed for beginners, has led to additional interest in Women’s Golf

Beacon Hill Country Club, Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey


A premier, private country club located in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. Established in 1899, Beacon Hill Country Club is known as the “Hidden Gem” on the Jersey Shore. Beacon Hill boasts a well-manicured 18-Hole golf course with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and Manhattan Skyline.


Customer Relations

  • Met with committees on a regular basis to ensure highest level of service to membership

Tournament Administration

  • Successfully introduced, chaired and launched the Men’s Highland Cup tournament, a Ryder Cup format tournament which drives participation in club events and generates revenues for F&B, Golf and Golf Shop

Teaching

  • Performed over 400 individual lessons annually (limited range and practice facilities)

  • Successfully implemented and designed an indoor training program to engage members throughout the winter

Player Development

  • Rejuvenated and managed the Junior Golf Program by introducing new programs and fun educational techniques: 120+ children ages 3-17 (program participation nearly doubled since 2007)

  • Initiated Ladies 4-Hole program to introduce women to the game of golf, led to many membership upgrades

Management and Staffing

  • Met with Board of Directors and committees regarding budgetary analysis, scheduling, and capital improvements

  • Worked alongside Head Golf Professional to analyze and meet monthly and annual golf budgets

  • Managed and trained Golf Shop and Outside Operations Staff (15)
