INSTRUCTION

As a golf professional, it is my responsibility to help students enjoy the game of golf to its fullest. I am a firm believer that an effective teacher must be able to help students achieve fundamentally sound techniques through knowledge, drills, practice, and an understanding of their own physical abilities. I believe in the importance of teaching from the ground up, starting with balance point at address followed by improving motor skills using methods customized to each student’s ability.

My approach to teaching is to start off with a pre-lesson interview to learn about any physical limitations, the student’s current playing ability, and the student’s short term and long term goals. Based on the information exchanged during the pre-lesson interview I quickly develop a personalized lesson plan and set achievable goals for the student. Throughout the lesson I make certain that the student has a full understanding of what I am teaching, I develop an open relationship to ensure that all questions are answered, and I keep a positive attitude. Finally, I make sure that the student walks away from the lesson with the confidence, ability and knowledge to make all necessary changes.
